- The Brogue -
The ultimate gentlemen’s shoe, this is what all those seeking a sharp, tailored look wear. Brogues are patterned, Oxfords aren’t. Pick the style which works for you and go with it, forever!The brogue has become so popular recently due to its versatility, and this should be the key with any timeless item. It is versatile because it can work within just about any outfit; a beautiful pair of brown brogues are smart enough to be worn with a navy suit to the office, but also more of a playful style that can be paired with your jeans/chinos at the weekend.

- The Monk Shoe -
Simply put, a monk strap shoe is one which contains no laces and instead is closed with a buckle and strap fastening. Monk strap shoes offer a distinctive style which stands out from the common lace-up. These shoes have enjoyed something of a renaissance in the last few years with the double monk strap bridging the gap between classic and contemporary, able to complement both smart and casual looks.

- The Boot -
Generally more of a winter shoe but great if you don’t like laced styles for a professional look. There’s a whole range of boots out there, from Brogues to Desert Boots, to Chukkas and Chelsea's. The latter two are casual styles and great for the current time of year as they’re the perfect weight and generally come in a vast selection of seasonal colours. - The Black Shoe -
We have debated this issue quite a bit at Bogart HQ but we have come to the general consensus that Black is Best! If there was one pair of shoes that we would recommend to go the extra penny with, it would be a pair of trusty black Derbys or Oxfords. We're normally promoting brown shoes because they have more style but a good pair of black shoes will see you through anything. No matter the occasion they will never be out of place; be it a wedding, the office, a night out or just a way of mixing up a casual outfit. If you invest in them they‘ll be the most versatile shoes you own and will last you forever.
